Should You Contact a Cleaning Company or a Remediation Company?

Did you know cleaning and remediation companies prioritize jobs differently? This is important to know so you call the right people for the appropriate task you need serviced.

Cleaning Company vs. Remediation Company

Cleaning companies typically have clients they service regularly whereas remediation companies have clients they will most likely see once or twice in a whole lifespan. The reason for this is because remediation companies prioritize tasks based on emergencies and they also find a solution to the problem.

Here is a list of scenarios on who to call:

 Cleaning Company:

  • If you need to have your carpet cleaned regularly because of pet waste.
  • Someone in your home had a nose bleed and is all over your carpet.
  • You’re planning to remodel your home and need thorough cleaning.

Remediation Company:

  • You just had a kitchen fire in your home and now have soot all over your house that needs to be cleaned.
  • Water damage has occurred in your home and now mold has developed.
  • A homicide occurred in your home and now you need blood removal.
  • You just had a water or fire loss and now need to make major repairs to your home or property.

If you ever need help determining whether you need to hire a cleaning or remediation company give us a call at (619) 280-2398 as we are always happy to help you find the correct company and service.

Re-Opening Businesses after Covid-19

Two people wearing facemasks outside of a building Should businesses enforce customers to wear face masks? What do you think?

How to create a plan for re-opening your business?

Coronavirus has caused many temporary business closures. Now that governing states are allowing businesses to reopen, owners are beginning to create plans for reopening in the safest way possible. So how do you prepare for the opening?

The first thing you need to do, even before you re-open your doors is to come up with a plan. The plan should consist of these three things: cleaning, contactless service, and six feet apart.

Cleaning:

Due to the spread of COVID-19 it is important to make sure your business has been disinfected and cleaned. Shelter in Place occurred in March for many Americans, but the virus has been around since November of 2019. Because there are so many unknowns of when Americans came into contact with the virus it is best to deep clean your business. You should even consider having your business disinfected everyday in all areas, and paying special attention to areas that are being heavily used.

Contactless Strategy

Create a plan where you can provide services or products without coming in contact with others. If you provide services such as hairstyling, nail salon, or any other service where you come into contact with people make sure to always wear gloves and a face mask.

Six Feet Apart:

Allow space for your customers to be six feet from one another. There are multiple ways you can do this, here are some examples. Putting markers on the ground to indicate six feet apart at the checkout lanes is a great way of creating social distancing measures. Making sure you are not overflowed with people; even if this means having customers wait outside of the building until others leave the building.

Many people have varying views of COVID-19 and as a business owner it is important to be aware of the opposing opinions. Create a plan that provides safeguards for all parties.

What does the CDC do?

The goal of the CDC is to protect public health whether it be to control or prevent disease, injury, or disability. Their primal focus is on infectious disease, food borne pathogens, and environmental health.

How does the CDC create guidelines?

The CDC conducts research and monitors health patterns to analyze data; this is how they create guidelines for the public.
