How long does reconstruction take?

Reconstruction is the final step to the remediation process. Many factors play into how long a reconstruction can take. The factors depend on size of property and size of loss. Most remediation companies will have the reconstruction complete between 1 - 2 weeks. Some remediation companies have requirements to have the process complete within a 10 day period.

What are some factors that can prolong the reconstruction step?

If the area in where the loss occurred is not dried a remediation company can not begin reconstructing. Sometimes the process can be delayed due to specific issues of the loss. An example of this would be a pipe breaking in your upstairs bathroom - this will require a specialist such as plumber.

Sometimes losses can occur in various parts of a home, this will definitely require more time since drying time and rebuilding will occur in multiple areas of your home.

If you are on a time crunch make sure to let your remediation company know. Remediation companies such as SERVPRO of San Diego East work as teams with other SERVPRO companies.
